Yudansha
Yudansha, also known as a black belt, is a marker of perseverance, not a goal or the end of anything. It is purely the beginning of your next level of training. It means you have a basic understanding of the fundamentals of the art. You have finished your introduction to the essentials and now can start your true training. Unlike most martial arts, there are not 10 levels of yudansha nor are their titles. Yudansha training can go in many different directions and is where you may begin specializing in the decades long pursuit of the arts.
